Match Funding to support Cochrane’s ‘Podcasts for Parents’

For one day only, Wednesday September 9, ‘Podcasts for Parents’ can attract match funding from GlobalGiving.

On September 9, 2015 go to Child-Health-Podcasts-Parents and your support for Cochrane Child Health and ‘Podcasts for Parents’ can attract match funding.  Make your support go further as on this Bonus Day GlobalGiving will be matching online donations between $25 and $1,000 at 20% while funds last. Your support can help us to meet our goal to deliver high quality support to child health.

Materials created by Cochrane Child Health are valuable tools to support parents in making health care decisions.  Letters from parents attest to the value of resources created to offer advice on croup, a common childhood illness.  You can help to expand these types of resources by supporting ‘Podcasts for Parents’. This  project will help parents and carers address the complexities of child health information by creating a series of audio streams which will provide high quality, scientific evidence relating to common childhood conditions, such as bronchiolitis, RSV and asthma.

Director of Cochrane Child Health, Denise Thomson says, “This is hugely exciting  opportunity for Cochrane Child Health to develop a series of infomative easily accessable resources that can be used by any parent or carer to help understand how to assess  scientiic information and make more confident decisions as related to their childrens’s health. “
