The Cochrane Journal Club is well suited to anyone who is part of a journal club or as an educational platform. Students, researchers and clinicians often use this resource but topics in the Journal Club may also be relevant for those who are looking for more in depth information on topics.
Every Cochrane Journal Club article is specially selected from the hundreds of new and updated reviews published in the Cochrane Library. The reviews selected represent diverse clinical topics and provide relevant background information and related resources. Readers can listen to a podcast in which the lead author explains the key points of the review, read discussion questions to help think about the review methods and findings in more detail, or ask the authors a question. Each Journal Club entry contains downloadable PowerPoint slides with graphs and tables so the Cochrane Review can be used in journal club meetings and there is also a vignette to help place the review in context.
Presently there are 57 Cochrane Journal Club entries. Access to all these resources is FREE at www.cochranejournalclub.com or you can link from the Cochrane Library home page at www.cochranelibrary.com under the “More Resources” tab.
