Associate Director – Research and Evaluation
The Registered Nurses’ Association of Ontario is the professional association representing RN’s, NPs and Nursing Students wherever they practice in Ontario. Since 1925 RNAO has advocated for healthy public policy, promoted excellence in nursing practice, increased nurses’ contribution to shaping the health system and influenced decisions that affect nurses and the public they serve.
RNAO is seeking an outstanding professional to join our team as Associate Director – Research and Evaluation. Reporting to the Director of the International Affairs and Best Practice Guidelines Centre (iaBPG Centre), you will join the senior management team of our progressive and dynamic organization. Your primary area of responsibility is to provide strategic direction and operational oversight to the research and evaluation activities within RNAO’s iaBPG Centre.
Working closely with information technology experts, data analysts, researchers and others, you will lead the strategic direction and operational success of NQuIRE® (Nursing Quality Indictors for Reporting and Evaluation®), the Association’s nursing quality indicator data system, and its use in Best Practice Spotlight Organizations®. You have in-depth knowledge of methods for evidence synthesis, statistical analysis, clinical practice evaluation and performance measurement as it relates to quality improvement and accountability practices.
Your ability to identify issues and articulate ideas and arguments will contribute to the formulation of Association strategies that are congruent with our Mission and Ends. You are experienced working with a range of stakeholders in the health sector and have proven ability to communicate and promote strategic objectives.
The successful candidate will hold a PhD in a relevant field. Registered Nurse an asset. Minimum five years progressive experience with at least one years in management. Salary commensurate with experience. Please submit your covering letter and resume by May 18, 2015.
