Evidence-Based Child Health: A Cochrane Review Journal now indexed by MEDLINE

The Cochrane Child Health Field’s main product, Evidence-Based Child Health: A Cochrane Review Journal, is now globally accessible after being selected for indexing in MEDLINE in October 2012. MEDLINE is the primary component of PubMed and the premiere bibliographic database of the US National Library of Medicine. The database indexes 5,500 biomedical journals and was searched 1.8 billion times in 2011.

Indexing in MEDLINE is an opportunity for Evidence-Based Child Health to increase readership, attract potential authors and thus develop the success and sustainability of the journal.

Full indexing in MEDLINE will start with the 2012 volume and should appear in MEDLINE/PUBMED within a few weeks. Older content from the journal will also be searchable.

Many congratulations to the current Editorial Team, including the Editorial Board, led by Joan Robinson, Mike Smith and Denise Thompson, and also to the founding Editors, Terry Klassen and Martin Offringa.  Many thanks as well to Jeremy Grimshaw for his letter of support, which was submitted with the application.
