Cochrane Special Collections are thematic compilations of evidence, based on Cochrane Reviews and provide a useful overview on important healthcare topics. The collections examine a range of healthcare areas such as asthma, aspirin and antiplatelet therapy, tobacco, breastfeeding, influenza, hospital acquired infections, work safety and health, road safety, preventing falls and injuries in older people, exercise for musculoskeletal conditions, prevention and treatment of obesity, breast cancer detection, care homes for older people, acupuncture, telemedicine & many more.
Some of the Cochrane Special Collections have been created in conjunction with Evidence Aid, with the aim of providing resources for decision-makers involved with disasters and humanitarian emergencies such as post-traumatic stress disorder following natural disasters, flooding and poor water sanitation, HIV and burn resources.
Currently there are 42 special collection themes available. All of these listings can accessed on the Cochrane Library home page www.cochranelibrary.com under the dropdown menu tab “Cochrane Reviews/Special Collections” or directly at http://www.cochranelibrary.com/app/content/special-collections/page/
